Mechanical Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

Workshop Operations Management:
Supervise and coordinate mechanical repairs, maintenance, and fabrication activities.
Ensure all workshop tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards.
Monitor inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment, and place orders when necessary.
Team Supervision & Training:
Lead and mentor a team of mechanics and technicians.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide technical guidance.
Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills and safety awareness.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical faults and recommend effective solutions.
Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce strict adherence to workplace safety regulations (OSHA, ISO, or company-specific standards).
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
Maintain proper documentation of maintenance logs, incident reports, and compliance records.
Quality Control & Reporting:
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and performance standards.
Prepare daily/weekly reports on workshop activities, progress, and issues.
Liaise with the engineering and operations teams to improve efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:

Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in mechanical maintenance/supervision, preferably in a workshop setting.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and fabrication.
Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and maintenance management systems is a plus.
Soft Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, communication, and time management.
Certifications: Safety training (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) or mechanical certifications are advantageous.
Work Conditions:

Workshop environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and occasional heavy lifting.
May require overtime or shift work based on operational needs.
